The Food Tour is a new gastronomic travel show hosted by Dmitriy Levitskiy, a Moscow-based restauranteur, who discovers cuisines from different regions of Russia, tries national dishes and goes on a quest for something unusual. During his time on Lake Baikal, he tastes whitefish raskolodka and Mongolian buuz. He even takes part in the traditional ritual of cooking a ram for a special occasion. In another excursion to far-western Kaliningrad, he not only tries such specialties as traditional klopsy, Baltic eel and stroganina (thinly sliced raw fish), but he even samples pigeons.
